Yom HaShoah Commemoration

Please join us when Temple Israel of Great Neck, Congregation L’Dor V’Dor and Temple Beth-El of Great Neck commemorate Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Holocaust survivor who spent her early childhood in Shanghai tells her family’s story.

The service begins each year with Holocaust survivors, as well as second and third generation children of survivors, entering the Sanctuary holding Shoah memorial candles, accompanied by members of their family and students from the Religious School.

The Shireinu Choir of Long Island led by Musical Director Deborah Tartell will present several moving musical selections.

Children from Religious School and our Waxman Youth House will sing at the service, led by Hazzan Brian Shamash. Learn more about participation for children. Youth House parents, please contact Connie Reichman at creichman@tign.org
