Since long before the Hamas terrorist attacks of October 7, some people have spread myths about Israel being the sole villain in the conflict with its neighbors, or Israel being a colonialist interloper that doesn’t belong in the region, or other similar sentiments designed to undercut the legitimacy of the Jewish state’s right to exist. In this talk, we will explore the facts that counter these myths, and discuss the actual history of Israel, right up to the present as well as the events of recent months that have changed the equation in the region for Israel and its neighbors, the potential impact of a new U.S. president, and possible outcomes going forward.
