Ohr Olam אוֹר עוֹלָם – Light of the world
HANNUJAZZ
Wednesday, January 1st, 2025
4:00 p.m.
Sanctuary (and TIGN Zoom) followed by a light dinner and Hanukkah treats in the Grand Ballroom
Join us on the eighth night of Hanukkah for an evening of music, light, and community! This year, we’re shining a new light on this joyous holiday with a jazzy Hanukkah concert “Hannujazz!” Immerse yourself in the spirit of Hanukkah through a unique musical fusion that blends beloved traditional melodies with rich harmonies and rhythms, creating an experience that will elevate your soul, touch your heart, and unify our spirits.
As the concert unfolds, we’ll share the beauty of a candle-lighting ceremony, uniting us in this meaningful tradition. After the final notes fade, the celebration continues in the ballroom with a light dinner of delicious latkes, sufganiyot, and other Hanukkah treats. It’s a chance to connect with friends and family, share laughter, and bask in the warmth of community. This Hanukkah, we also dedicate our celebration to our teachers, those who embody the spirit of the shamash as helpers and lights of inspiration and growth in our daily lives.
Registration for this event is free and open to the community; however, to enable everyone to participate and grow our musical and cultural arts series programming at Temple Israel, we invite you to support this celebration as a sponsor. Contributions will be acknowledged at the event.
