Waltz with Bashir’s tagline is “We may forget the past, but the past won’t forget us” It is an animated Biopic/Docudrama about the director’s own memories and reflections on the 1982 war in Lebanon. Waltz with Bashir explores trauma, and morality of war in a way where the questions aren’t answered. The film takes on new poignancy in light of October 7, 2023 and its aftermath.
